Olive Tapenade Spread

This is a good spread to serve with breads and crackers.  It can also be used as a condiment in burrito wraps, sandwiches and spring rolls.

Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until well mixed.  The spread should be chunky, not completely purreed.

Tapenade is a paste made mainly from olive and capers that originated in South-Eastern France.  It is a popular appetizer commonly served with bread and crackers and as a stuffing in entrĂ©es.


1 1/2 cups raw olives, pitted
1/2 cup walnuts
4 tablespoons capers
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
